|Joey Salazar||I was born in raised in Madera, California. Growing up I played as many sports as I possibly could. My main sport in high school was football and I briefly played at the junior college level. After I could no longer play football I needed something to feel that competitive itch in my life. Once I found Crossfit, I fell in love. I started Crossfit in 2014 and became CFL1 in 2015. I also attained my Olympic weightlifting certificate through Crossfit weightlifting. I am currently a student at CSU Fresno and in pursuit of my Bachelors of Science in Biology. My passions are science, hiking, along with health and fitness. I am a bit of a nerd who enjoys reading, working out and a nice slice of key lime cheesecake (when its cheat day).|
